The Institute for Art and Innovation (IFAI) and their initiative Social Art Award (Germany) along with Applied Live Art Studio have launched a new international peer forum network of creative practitioners and visionaries interested in and dedicated to art and social betterment. We believe that social art has the ability to reshape our world, conceptualise emergent ways of being, and shift current discourses away from fear and dystopia into new opportunities for cross-collaboration, shared humanity, and planetary restoration.

Our 3rd SAI FORUM is happening in July, book here.

Together we aim to:

  • Foster an international meetup of social artists as a way to reduce borders, share skills & knowledge, build database of best practices and explore sustainability (both community and ecological as one)
  • Collectively define sustainability – uncover crossovers between social and environment in social practice
  • Understand how we create legacy – identifying what we have inherited and what we are leaving to others.
  • Research futures and materialities: expanding the artist role as both provocateur and guide
  • Understand how social art can have a significant impact and how we can collectively measure it
  • Aim to build a report on the learning and help validate and support social art practice
